Hope Through Connection

Hope Through Connection:  Meaning in a Time of Pandemic
With Carrie Newcomer
Saturday, June 6, 2020

During this time of COVID-19, Carrie Newcomer and Mercy Conference and Retreat Center have agreed to move the benefit concert online.  We have partnered to create an experience that will have professional audio & visuals, as well as an easy way for anyone to stream this experience from Carrie's home to yours.

This evening will be a one-time only opportunity to see Carrie Newcomer and support the work of Mercy Conference and Retreat Center.   This concert will not be archived for later viewing, and is designed to be a live experience for community and artist.

Carrie Newcomer is a performer, recording artist, and educator, described as a "prairie mystic" by the Boston Globe and one who "asks all the right questions" by Rolling Stone.  As one of the definitive voices of the heartland and progressive spirituality, Carrie has the ability for sharp observation of the world. She has attracted a devoted following with her warm voice, exquisite melodies, and an irreverent yet spiritual view of the world.  As in the work of poets Mary Oliver and Wendell Berry, Carrie's songs are based in the ordinary and infused with images from the natural world.

Start time for the concert will be:
  • 8:00 p.m. Eastern
  • 7:00 p.m. Central
  • 6:00 p.m. Mountain
  • 5:00 p.m. Pacific
Tickets:
Regular Price:  $20 per person
Household Price:  $50 per ticket for up to four people in one house.
If you are interested in larger group rates, please contact Dawn Stringfield.

We know that there are many whose lives have been financially impacted by COVID-19.  Please contact Dawn Stringfield via email for information about limited scholarship opportunities.

For those who are able, there will also be a way to contribute a little more at the time of your ticket purchase to help out those who can't afford to come and to support the work of Mercy Conference and Retreat Center.

We thank the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas South Central Community for their generous sponsorship of this event.
