Healing takes more than naming our emotion. We also need to express
what we are feeling, such as smiling when we are happy, crying when we are sad or scared, shouting when we are angry. Emotions that we avoid or trap inside often hold us hostage, hold us back from healing, growing, loving, living.
One way to express some of the unpleasant things we may be feeling during this pandemic is to simply tell others our story.

Pandemic Story Board
My dad lives in a nursing home. He was so excited about turning 90. Because of covid we weren't allowed to visit him and have the big party we planned. We gathered on the sidewalk outside his bedroom window and sang Happy Birthday at the top of our lungs and released balloons that drifted right past his window. We still can't visit. But it was good to see him smile. I miss sharing coffee with him.
