According to the American Psychological Assocation, psychologists define resilience as the process of adapting well in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats or significant sources of stress — such as family and relationship problems, serious health problems, or workplace and financial stressors

Below, we invite you to explore some resources that support you on the pathway to greater resilience.


Tom Wagner, PhD
Dr. Tom Wagner is a resilience researcher, presenter, writer, counselor and consultant. Whether it is with individuals or organizations, Dr. Wagner seeks to enhance the buoyancy and well-being of his clients. In addition to maintaining a full practice of clients in two sites (Clayton, and O’Fallon, MO), Dr. Wagner seeks to continue spreading his resilience training (“Navigating White Water”) to more organizations seeking to enhance and strengthen their members.
